Independent Contractor September 1997 – Present

Specialized in reverse-engineering of printed circuit boards ranging from simple LCD displays to complex multi-processor CPU boards.
Developed test methodologies for verifying 100% accuracy of signal integrity according to XBox disc format specification for format generators controlling Laser Beam Recorders.
Developed a user interface and instrument communication program to support a hand-held explosive material detection device for a Department of Homeland Security contractor.

Business Development:

Developed a SQL-intense custom order processing, tracking, and reporting software package using LabVIEW that allowed the business to reduce labor costs by more than 50%.
Developed an additional custom software application that allows the first to interface with the company’s Website and provide on-line self-service ordering, which significantly increased annual sales with no increase in processing labor.
Integrated bar-code identification hardware and software into both programs, to reduce user input error and streamline order processing.

Programmed tests for processors including MPC850 & XPC860 PowerPC, and MCF5206 Coldfire processor families using LabVIEW, controlling the processors through Background Debug Mode.
Developed Embedded test routines using assembly language for the same microprocessors, improving test speed by a factor of 75 times.
Led the company into new testing methods, including Background Debug Mode and JTAG (Boundary Scan) testing, improving test speed and coverage.
